Bowes bros hit the "big" town!

Hi, y'all! Today, two of my three younger brothers (Benjamin was too young) and I hit the "big" town of Chehalis/Centralia for a day of fun. Due to my very busy summer, I just have not had much time to spend with my bros, something I regret, so I decided to make it up to them today. The little guys were very excited about this trip, and I had a lot of fun as well!

Our first stop was Fort Borst Park in Centralia, where we played baseball (of course!), had a picnic, and basically just "hung out". We also got to watch an inning and a half of a little league tournament baseball game that happened to be going on while we were at the park, which was a pretty cool bonus.

When your big brother takes photos, you can make whatever face you like . . .

Here I threw the ball up into the air and took pictures at the same time, just for kicks. Pretty good, huh?

Our next stop (after one quick errand) was to head over to Wall-Mart to pick up some snacks. Timmy had to do some serious convincing for me to buy that giant pack of Reese's for him. :0) The boys were pretty confused when I told them that they couldn't eat their snacks right away. As you will see, they were for a later time . . .

And then for the big surprise! Timmy and Joe have been chattering for quite awhile about a Disney movie called Planes, a spin-off of the Cars movies that they really wanted to see. I planned this whole trip on seeing this movie on the first day it opened in theaters (today). After taking the picture above in the parking lot of the mall where the theater is, I discreetly turned on the video recorder and spilled the beans. :0)

.... And I could not post that video because of the slow speed of our internet. Ugh!

Our next stop was the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds to check out how much has been set up for the summer fair. It opens next week! The boys were happy to see the rides being set up, but I couldn't help but feel a little nauseous, remembering how many times I have gotten sick on those spin-and-pukes. :0)

Our last stop was at McDonald's, where those of us who were not stuffed with candy (me) had dinner. Thanks to McDonald's Monopoly game, Joe won a free smoothie, which was the perfect ending to a great day.
