This is Muscles, my new truck! :0D
He is a '95 Dodge Dakota Sport
V6, 3.9L engine--the perfect combination of MPGs and power!
Muscles is not perfect; he has some dings and scratches here and there (he is, after all, a work truck). But for what I paid for him ($1,300) I think he was a steal! Though he is rather high on mileage at 200,000, Muscles is still running very strong. There are no problems mechanically! Also, Muscles is a five-speed manual . . .
. . . so now all I gotta do is learn how to drive him! I had my first lesson in stick shift today, and it went pretty well. Yep, I did stall Muscles a handful of times, but hey, we were all still in one piece (including the truck, thankfully) when we got home! :0P
So, what do ya' think? Cool truck?

What a cute truck!
ReplyDeleteSorry, I had to... because you asked for it. :P
It looks nice! You must have a thing with red cars. :D Did you know that they are known for getting the most tickets? Drive carefully! ;)
*will refrain--at the moment!--from commenting another joke!*
Hmmm, I guess I won't delete this comment . . .
ReplyDeleteWell, my trailer for my lawn care business is red and black (painted to match with my Hotrod), so it was definitely a plus to get another red vehicle. Yep, red cars stand out, but I haven't had a ticket yet!
Thank goodness you are refraining from joking anymore, because I can't think of a good "comebacker" at the moment . . .
Cool?? I was thinking something more like sweet and it's such an adorable truck!! ~Shiloh
ReplyDeleteOkay, that's IT!!! I am currently looking into how to block a certain someone (ahem, ahem!!) from posting comments on any of my vehicle-related posts! :0P
ReplyDelete-K
No way!!! I seriously was going to say the same thing as Bethany did! You must have a thing for red vehicles!!! $1300 was a great deal!
ReplyDeleteThat truck is totally adorbs! ;P Totally just kidding.
ReplyDeleteLooks great!!
It is so fun reading comments from the Strang family. :0D
ReplyDeleteJordan: I do really like red for some reason. Strange, because for the first 8 years of my life I was always dressed in blue (we quads were color-coded by our parents - don't ask me why). ;0) Red was Valerie's color, so I guess I kind of stole it from her! Yes, I was so happy to get a truck for that low, even though I had set aside about $2,500 to get a truck. Now I can invest in a riding mower in very good condition, perhaps even new! :0)
Eden: I am glad you were just kidding, because that saved me from being put in the unenviable position of deleting your comment. :0P
I said just joking kidding just to be nice.
Delete;)
Oh! In that case, I think I will delete your comment then! :0P Then again, you did say that Muscles looks great . . . was that just to be nice, too? ;0)
DeleteI was gonna say it looked kinda small... but since you asked me not to...
ReplyDelete-The truck- I mean, Muscles looks great!
Hi, Heather! LOL, thanks! Muscles is not small; he's just, uh, compact! ;0)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Kyle. I'm glad God provided such a nice truck so soon. I'm eager to hear the whole story:)
ReplyDeleteBtw I really like the color. Red is one of my favorite colors:)
ReplyDeleteAll I can think of is Olaf from 'Frozen'..."It's like a little baby unicorn". ;)
ReplyDeleteI love driving manual cars! I suppose it could have something to do with the fact that I have never, in all my whopping 24 hours of driving, driven an automatic vehicle. Glad you got your truck!
Elannee: Hmmm, the whole story? How much of this do you want to hear? I mean, I could give you the minute details, but basically I found Muscles on Craigslist . . . and it was love at first sight. ;0)
ReplyDeleteEmily: LOL!!! I probably should delete your comment to keep Muscle's dignity intact, but just recalling Olaf's voice when he says that line makes me burst out laughing! Wow, 24 hours of driving (to use your own words from a previous comment)--how cute! :0P (but at least you probably don't stall the vehicle at every stop sign anymore, I'm guessing)
If it was love at first sight-- then Muscles really needs a more feminine name.... just say'n or noting the obvious...... ;-)
Delete-your anonymous friend that has possibly already commented here or maybe not.
Oh, (awkward laugh) good point. Muscleriette? No, that's terrible. Edit for comment above: . . . and it was *brotherly* love at first sight. :0P
DeleteI need to get rid of that anonymous option ... (but if I had to guess, I would bet that my anonymous friend is really Shiloh) ;0)
@Kyle: Are you saying that he's not small... He's just funsized?!?!?
ReplyDeleteOkay... I hope that doesn't qualify as one of the inappropriate comments! ;) jk
Ahem! The irony of things "funsized" is that they are really not fun!!! Take candy bars for instance. Funsized is like one measly bite. So no, Muscles is not anything close to funsized! He's awesomesized! Now that we have cleared that up, I guess I won't delete your comment . . . :0P

With Red being my favorite color, I think "Muscles" looks awsome. Congratulations on find a "sweet" deal. Love you, Meemom
ReplyDeleteThanks, Meemom! Love you!
