Yes, it's true; I am no longer in possession of my Sleek Hotrod. It is a bittersweet goodbye, my friends. I had a fond attachment to him (yes, my Hotrod IS a him). He was my first car, and we had many adventures together.
My Sleek Hotrod served me above and beyond what was to be expected of a car. Poor thing, forced into pulling a lawn care business around for an entire summer! Here my Sleek Hotrod serves me faithfully, and I dump him off to the first convenient buyer! What back-stabbing brutality is this! In my deep appreciation for my car, I have written a short poem below that I hope will inspire you: ;0)
In appreciation of the Sleek Hotrod
Built of muscle, stronger than steel
Bought for $1,500, what a deal!
Driven home, one early morning
Your title my name soon adorning!
My Hotrod, My Hotrod
You served me faithfully
Goodbye now, Goodbye now
I salute you gratefully
Pressed into service, given a hitch
Pulling a trailer without a glitch!
Arriving home late, all dusty and worn
Yet hitched up again the very next morn!
My Hotrod, My Hotrod,
You served me faithfully
Goodbye now, Goodbye now
I salute you gratefully
Here we are now, our time is gone
I sold you for cash at the crack of dawn
Full of character, a gleaming red
Forgive me, my Hotrod, is all I pled
My Hotrod, My Hotrod
You served me faithfully
Goodbye now, Goodbye now
I salute you gratefully
